The Pavese Festival 2021
The 21st edition of the Pavese Festival took place in Santo Stefano Belbo from Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 September 2021. Among this year’s guests, writer Marcello Fois, actors Alessandro Preziosi and Neri Marcorè, rocker Omar Pedrini and the duo ColapesceDimartino.
Thursday 9 September
Launch of the audiobook+book Dialoghi con Leucò published by Fondazione Cesare Pavese and Emons, with its curator, Marcello Fois, accompanied by Gabriele Fioritti (music) and Aldo Delaude (reading). Première of the recital about The Moon and the Bonfires by actor Alessandro Preziosi.
Friday 10 September
Vernissage of Concetto Fusillo‘s exhibition Fascinazioni mitologiche: D’Annunzio e Pavese, followed by Neri Marcore‘s show on Dialogues with Leucò, accompanied by musician Domenico Mariorenzi.
Saturday 11 September
Presentation of Martina Merletti‘s debut novel Ciò che nel silenzio non tace. Opening walk along one of the itineraries of MOM, Santo Stefano Belbo’s Multimedia Outdoor Museum to discover the Pavese places and landscapes, along with local culture and traditions. On the road with Pavese: rocker Omar Pedrini‘s imaginary journey exploring the writer’s fascination for American culture and literature.
Sunday 12 September
Presentation of Claudio Lorenzoni and Valentina Cei‘s performance This must be ULTRA, an ultra-marathon combining writing and running to discover one’s own inner landscape inspired by Pavese’s experience. Live music and talk with duo ColapesceDimartino. Theatre play Caro maestro, based on Pirandello’s correspondence with actress Marta Abba’s.
